INDUSTRY BENCHMARK | The Wanrui Phase III Natural Gas Liquefaction Plant, boasting a daily processing capacity of 1 million cubic meters, along with the BOG Helium Recovery Project, both constructed by Jereh Hengri, have successfully commenced operations.
On April 29th, the Wanrui Phase III Natural Gas Liquefaction Plant, with a daily processing capacity of 1 million cubic meters, and the BOG Helium Recovery Project successfully began operations, marking another successful collaboration between Sichuan Jereh Hengri Natural Gas Engineering Co., Ltd. (Jereh Hengri), a fully-owned subsidiary of Jereh Group, and Inner Mongolia Wanrui Natural Gas Co., Ltd. (Wanrui). This project is the second of its kind—a 1 million cubic meters per day natural gas liquefaction plant, and BOG Helium recovery project that Jereh Hengri and Wanrui have partnered on.
The Inner Mongolia Wanrui project is developed in three phases, with a total natural gas processing capacity of 2.3 million cubic meters (m3)/day, and the BOG helium recovery process is also integrated into the project. The operation of the third phase of the Wanrui project boosts a further increase in Wanrui's LNG production capacity, reaching an industry-leading scale. Meanwhile, the project’s helium production is also an industrial highlight. Following the startup of the third phase, Wanrui’s helium production will continue to expand, taking a leading position in the industry.
Jereh Hengri specifically proposed a helium recovery solution for BOG of LNG projects and pioneered a process route for gas-liquid helium co-production in China, achieving a breakthrough in helium recovery technology.
